The Knox Chalk Car is a funky little Chalkboard Paint Car in East Tennessee. We park the car at festivals, parties and on the street so people can draw on it. If you have an opinion this is the time to write it on the car. We make YouTube, TikTok and Facebook reels videos from the art left on the car.
We painted our first car in 2018, as it was a hand me down car from family members. The car was a silver color, we decided to paint the car a different color after researching options for changing car colors. We decided to go with chalk paint as it was more affordable than other options. Mom being mom chose her fingernail polish color verses the standard black chalkboard paint. The first car, a Honda Element, was a Turquoise Blue. The next one, a Honda Civic is OPI Sassy Violet.
Once the car was painted, we found it fun to leave the chalk out at the park to let people draw on it. Everyone we met loved the car so we thought why not share it at something bigger. In June 2019 we heard about a festival in Maryville TN. We asked the organizers if we could attend. They said yes, and included us in the children's section of the 1st Blount Pride Festival. Children and adults drew on the car. At that event we decided since we are an Autism and Rainbow family, our mission should be to promote INCLUSION, DIVERSITY and AUTISM ACCEPTANCE.
2022: Last year you might have seen our car at Pride Picnic Lgbt+ in Cleveland, TN Blount Pride in Maryville TN , SoKno Pride in South Knoxville TN, in the Knox Pride Parade, parked at a park, or at a shopping center.

FOLLOWERS: Though the car was created in 2018, after our 2019 summer season, we and the rest of the world were safer at home. We did not start showing the car again until June of 2021.
FACEBOOK: Followers help us get sponsors for maintenance of the car and travel expenses. This is our Facebook page, we post Facebook Reels and photos of things people have drawn on the car.
